In order to maintain the highest level of competence, since 2003, I have limited the areas of my practice primarily to Family Law, specifically using one of the following processes:

• Collaborative Family Law
• Mediation
• Negotiation of Separation Agreements, and
• Uncontested Divorces.

Family Law encompasses many areas: separation; divorce; child custody and access (which we generally refer to as parenting); child support; spousal support; and the division or equalization of property.

Together you and I determine which will be the most effective, cost efficient and expedient process to use to resolve all of your family law issues.

My research and experience has led me to believe that separating couples and their families do much better in the long run where a non-adversarial approach is used.

I do not take on cases where the client wishes or the circumstances warrant going to court for adjudication of the family law issues. I refer these clients to family law lawyers who are experts in family law litigation.

As separations also affect your Will and Powers of Attorney, I draft these documents for you as soon as you have provided me with your directions.
